I recently built a structure for the recreational enjoyment of our cats Simon, Buttercup and Texas.

Design

The basic design for this structure is a multi-level tower with a square base.

All surfaces including the bottom are covered with commercial-grade carpeting.

Materials

• 14in concrete form {link}
• 1in thick plywood 3x3ft square (base)
• 10x10 ft carpet remant (rough estimate)
• 1",2" drywall screws
• carpet glue (Gorilla Glue should also work)

Tools

• Jigsaw
• twine, rope or bungee cords
• Sharp carpet knife
• yardstick/t-square, preferably steel
